70 degC ain't gonna be enough IMO. Better get something that is rated for at least 220 degF (whatever that is in C, 105 or so?), maybe more.

Looks like a very well thought out idea.

Did you make it for tuning purposes (or nitrous, etc) or just show?

I can think of some good uses for it... laugh

For tuning - I monitor mine with my laptop when I need to test things.

With Manufacturers Enhanced Login I can plot it in real time against any PCM reading (RPM, advance, fuel curve, load, etc)

should rig it to the brake lights - everytime you speed up the cops will think you're stopping smile

When ever the motor open it will come on and the light will stay on until the motor is denergized. The ECU sends 12V to open the motor, then once it detects thats its open it lowers the voltage to hold them open. Even with the lower voltage a LED should stay on, or you can use a small incandecent bulb.
The idea of mounting it on the actautor cam is that it will only come on when the butterflies move, if the IMRC cable snaps, gears shear etc. I will know. Taking the signal from the IMRC electronics will not tell you this. Also, this can be used on the early vacuum controlled inlets laugh

I will have to see how the temp side goes, but I am not overly concerned. The senor is not mounted directly on any hot surfaces, I should imagine it will be operating near it's maximum.

Mainly for fun / show / so that I know at a glance what the secondaries are doing laugh I have Alex Pepper's OBDII software but I'm not that well up on using it to monitor the secondaires!!
