There is no way you are gain 30 MPH in 4 seconds on the topend. Not going to happen. My Z28 gains on average the second 1/8 mile 5.6 MPH per second, so I would hit it in around 13 seconds flat. Your car is going to pull 7.5 MPH per second? So your car pulls like it is high 9 second 1/4 car acceleration on the big end.
I figure it would take you between 22-25 seconds to hit 120 MPH, which is not shabby at all.

Demon-
I didn't think you were serious at first, but 17 seconds from 0-120mph in your NA Contour isn't gonna happen. Just for comparison, the new 287hp Nissan 350Z does 14.1@101mph in the 1/4 and runs a 0-120mph in 21.4 seconds and tops out at 156mph. It takes the Z 10.2 seconds to go from 90mph to 120mph. To go from 90mph to 120mph in 4 seconds would be feel unreal. The sensation would feel like 1st gear. The hard truth is that on every gear change, the acceleration Gs become lower and lower which means acceleration isn't as strong. I'd say your CSVT probably does 0-120mph in ~28-29 seconds.

De-man I agree with everyone on it being very diffucult to see how 17sec. to 120mph would jive with our cars, but at the same time I know you and for good measure will say this, go and do a 120mph sprint from a dead stop, have a friend be a passenger and use a stop watch. Stop the watch when you hit 120 and that will settle the dispute. I'd love to know what your car can do anyhow. Let us know how it goes. Do this ASAP if you can, and by all means, don't tell your WIFE

I am so glad other people have respond to this 17 sec to 120 mph problem. It is impossible for you to accomplish such feat. I am going to give you an example. My 1/8 mile speed is around 90mph@8 sec (with the spray) while my 1/4 mile trap speed(actual speed higher) is around 115@12 sec. It would've taken me another 1-2 sec for me to reach 120 mph. So it's taken a 400 rwhp car roughly 6 seconds to go from 90 to 120mph. And you are telling us you would be doing the same thing in 5 seconds(from your quarter mile trap speed) in a 200 fwhp car? C'mon, you are not going to bend the law of physics regardless how much you know. Just be a man and admit you were a bit optimistic in the beginning then everything will be all right.

I was really hoping to hear from more people, but thanks to those who took the time to respond to my questions i wonder why most of the topics i start end up in some kind of controversy

For a NOT so Qualified Test. I set up an RSX on GT3 (yes the game) and put the gearing exactly as the Japan spec RSX Type R and had power at about 248 with upgrades to sport-suspension, brakes, stage 1 clutch/flywheel, limited-slip and I lightened the car up to Stage 3, that brought the car within or beyond close specs of the 2002 Japan Type R model. Well I put the car to the line on the Test Course and it took this particular car just over 22seconds to reach 120mph, and that's with a tightly geared 6-speed. As was mentioned, it's just not possible to bend the Law of Physics, but Greg could've just got a little bit optimistic about those numbers. Go test Greg, I'd really like to know what it does, Seriously. I'm sure whatever the numbers turn out to be, it'll definately be better than most anyone on this Forum, so you'll still Fare Good no matter what...Aloha, Micah

Nyceboi, I'll kindly say, I seen no Scrutiny in my response! So I'm gonna assume you're reffering to the others in some way. Even Friends need to be honest, and Honestly it's a little hard for me to beleive that's possible, but at the same time I don't discredit Demon in anyway, shape or form. In fact even if his times don't end up to be what he reported, I went as far as to say that I'm sure it'll still be one, if not the fastest N/A Tour on the Boards and that's still something to be proud of, IMO...Aloha
