In neutral with your foot off the clutch you'd be spinning the input shaft, right? Some part of this would be below fluid level, splashing it around.

I always do the shifter swish before I go - didn't really think much about, I just noticed it always seemed to shift a little better after sitting if I swished the shifter side to side a few times. I don't know if the shift forks are below fluid level, but it seemed? to help.
