Oddly enough, i have been doing the slip/dump method(slip the clutch till it starts to catch and then let the clutch go) at 4000 for 25k now, no problems.
I recently took my tranny out to take a look at it(and check to see if i can convert to the SVT/Euro Focus 4.06 ring gear and pinion) after a masive "one-tire-fire" burnout/clutch bake and there was ZERO damage to any of my gears.
But lets get some facts straight here....
And i do not mean to be a Dick to Joe(zetec racing), but according to him, the gears in the MXT75 will only handle 250hp when I have talked with the owners/tuners of 3 European Foci who are all pushing 450+lb/ft through a factory stock tranny with only a LSD, Clutch 15lb flywheel and custom driveshafts as the only Tranny mods and one of these transmissions has seen 50k miles(probably more now) of racing use while push that power with no problems.
A member on Club-Focus, TurboTom, has been running 300+lb/ft through his
entirely STOCK drivetrain.
Joe also stated that the hydraulic clutch use Tranny fluid and not brake fluid.....
