Demon,

I went to the drag races last night for the first time with Pojay and DDavis.
I must say I had a great time despite the 300 mile round trip. frown

Anyway, I didn't do that well. In my very first ever run, I ran an embarrassing run, but I did better on the next two runs.
I'm going to list the times, but don't anyone laugh mad just yet.
I have done nothing to reduce weight other than my headers.
I am running with a full spare tire, speaker box with 4 10" woofers, 4 heavy midrange speakers, amps, junk food and soda bottles, even laptop and 100 cd's in the back seat.

Run 1:
16.645 at 88.088 with a RT of 1.316 and 2.462 60'
I bogged down and missed second gear, I really smoothed out my synchronizer! (I was nervous, 1st ever run, remember?)
Run2:
15.674 at 91.469 with RT - 1.495 and 2.55 60'
(No missed gears though I shifted slow after grinding 2nd in the first run)
Run 3:
15.560 at 91.419 with RT - 1.435 and 2.413 60'
I was getting a bit more confident after the other two runs. ****ty bogged down take-offs on all three runs.

That was all the runs I could get before they closed the track. I think It would improve if I could do the launch right. Basically, its just like I am doing a 10 mph rolling start.

I just need training...when I get to MO, I am going to look you up and take some lessons. A better driver would certainly be in the 14's in this car.

Now I know exactly how difficult it is to properly launch one of these cars. Kudo's to you guys in the 14 second club.
