You're right Terry. If you don't have time to do it right, then you darn sure don't have time to do it a second time. I've done my part in talking him into waiting it out to get the right parts in there and it sounds like everyone else has the same idea. We've still got some options to put a motor in there before SZ so long as it's not boosted. Then he could still take part in some of the events at least.
What I was referring to is there's so little time left to explore any of those options before SZ and keep life on the home front in check with his wife and at work. It seems like SZ is just around the corner for me and all I'm doing is swapping out valve covers, intakes, and adding some hangers for my new dual exhaust in the time left. I can't imagine being disappointed about not having the first boosted 3 liter at a major CEG event after so much money and labor.
What a pisser! I'm miffed about it too and I had only a very limited hand in the project...
