Well after all the big hype. Not one of the "big power" Contours (that posted in the original thread) showed up for the dyno day... (Yes including me in my car frown )

3 Folks dynoed their cars...

98 Mystique V6 MTX - 145HP / 153TQ - only mod was an SVT Cat-back. I was quite impressed by the numbers myself!!!

99 SVT - 165HP / 148TQ - Glasspack for resonator

00 SVT - 176.5HP / 153 TQ - KKM, Borla, Shoshop Y-pipe

All numbers SAE corrected.

I was impressed with Mike's (The owner of Cerra Racing) knowledge and he came off very well to me.
He is also working (pressing for it to get done) on getting a "real" tunable chip software for the Focus/Contour PCM's. Unlike a Superchip or Diablo chip that you can only download pre-made programs for. (which sucks IMO)

BTW - those holding their breathe for Diablo's end user tuning software. I'd stop. He said they've been saying that for over 2 years now and he was one of the first 5 Diablo dealers.

Demon, sorry to leave you guys hangin, but I did put up a post in the original thread that I couldn't make it. Too much left to be done on the car to make it worth the drive out there and possibly hurting it. Good news is that I'm scheduled to go out there this friday and get tuned!

You were impressed, how do you think I felt. I wasn't expecting anything near that. Also figured since I hardly drive my car during the week I'd follow your advice and clean the UIM, and boy does it need it. laugh

You posted Friday night right...

I was already there man... :p

Yes I know you are going back Friday for tuning. I talked to Mike about it. laugh He can't wait!!! You'll get to see the new shop. Over 6000 square feet. They were moving on Saturday.

He asked me how realistic your goal of 350HP was... I told him you were full of sh... I mean... A real good chance...
Though IMO without an intercooler you may just be blowing hot air... laugh

Are you going to run stock boost level or try the smaller pulley? or both?

Actually Demon, I posted Friday mid morning. I know I'm blowing hot air! LOL. Actually I've all ready got a smaller pulley on. I'm waiting to see if I need to go smaller or not. Boost gauge says about 6 psi so far but that's only at 5500. I haven't gotten above that yet.

Rick
