I have an svt and I know that to put the early contour fin on, you need to change the entire back lid. Has anyone tried to modify the fin to fit? Is there a hope? I really want to put this lip on the back of the tour because I can't find one anywhere else. Any suggestions?

I heven't seen one posted, but the early 'lip' spoiler is pretty soft material and should be able to be trimmed slightly. If you have the spoiler, try fitting in on the car and see where you may be able to shave some material away to get a flush fit. The contour (no pun intended) of the trunk lid did not change much, so I think some minor trimming may be all thats needed.

i was thinking the same thing. I think with a little bit a shaving it should be easily mounted. That style fin was pretty sharp and looked the best on the contour because it was "contoured" to the car and not a slap on item like all other spoilers are now.

anyone who has fitted one of these fins to a pre 98 is this tapped or screwed in?
