Be careful. Our stock Differential / Tranny / Clutch was not made to handle that type of traction. I had a friend (type of car to remain nameless)that blew his half shafts with a clutch side-step on 555r's.

I've got a quaife and driveshaft shop axles wink my diff bit the dust a long time ago laugh Still got the stock clutch, so that'll be the next thing to go

But I agree, be very careful with stock drivetrain with drag radials.

I have a quaife now and and installing a Ram super duty 6 puck full metallic clutch. So now i just have to wait for the drive shafts to go.

Drive shafts aren't difficult to do, just expensive. Stage II's IIRC are around $500 for the pair. Stage III's (like mine) are around $900.

Okay, I guess all the mustang guys who run their radials at 15-18 psi don`t know what they are doing? I run about 20 psi in mine at the track.

RWD vs FWD.

No weight transfer to the tires with FWD.

There is a major difference right there.

well.. considering you drive a contour... i would listen to what the "contour guys" have to say... not the "mustang guys". a mustang is a 2door rwd coupe, alot of mustang guys see good results running 3.73 rear end gears... that doesn't mean a contour would...

i am offically a troll... so take my information and advice with a grain of salt.
