She needs some work still it seems to me. Maybe I'm wrong, and the car's just being choked. Odd... 196... Doesn't the stock SVT come withnear that?
Heheheheheh, SVT has 195-200 at the crank! :p Most of them dyno around 160-170 at the wheels stock. Having upped that by swapping out nothing but the engine itself by 20-30 HP with an open element filter as the only other mod is impressive. Add on 20-30 HP more by doing all of the bolt ons available down the road and it's even more impressive. Remember, a Contour doesn't need quite as much HP or TQ as your heavyweight to get around...

I get 239.2hp w/ 193ft-lbs. (parasitic losses of 18% hp and 5% torque)
Still pretty impressive, he is putting down as much torque as most of the SC guys w/ approx 100hp less.

jiako - you're using the 3L heads? this would mean lower compression than if you used the SVT heads, right? Good numbers, man. Slap on a free flowing catback (Brullen's 2.5" would work, or perhaps true dual), maybe free up your manifolds, and you'll be cooking!

Hey everyone wuts up. All numbers are with ZERO bolt ons. I have y pipe exhaust 80 MAF and TB waiting for action. I am hoping to get near the 215 220 mark with this and maybe headers depending if i decided turbo or supercharger. But the weird thing is that i was running RICH over 4000. we tuned the safc to a perfect 12.5:1 accross the board. Thanks everyone for the compliments and looking for better #s soon

Wow, I am impressed. This is the combination that I was making inquiries about in the 3L forum....3.0L with 3.0L heads and SVT Cams. Now with some bolt-ons and the "mystery-mod" wink you should be putting out VERY nice #'s.

Good luck and keep us informed.

how did u use the svt cams on 3 liter heads didn't the waterpump have to be modded. I have not seen the 3.0 heads but I read in some earlier post that this was not possible . What did u do to overcome the switch. I'm really impressed kinda wish I would have went that way first before the turbo on 2.5 liter. great job laugh

the 01 engine has the waterpump run the same way as the 2.5 so it worked like charm
