This is with a basicly stock setup except kkm. Best run was my last run with hp 196.1 and tq 183.3. That was achieved by LEANING out the SAFC. Strangly enough with the 3L I was at about 11.8:1 before tuning the safc starting 4000 rpm. Then after about 3 more runs we achieved 12.5 basicly across the board from 4500 up. I am happy with this as my baseline dyno as now I need to make this engine BREATHE>

196 hp??? Is this the 3L conversion I hear so much about? Sorry, but 196 hp at the wheels doesn't exactly impress me. I saw one post in here about a 264 at the wheels, that I like. 196 though? She needs some work still it seems to me. Maybe I'm wrong, and the car's just being choked. Odd... 196... Doesn't the stock SVT come withnear that?

Words of wisdom...

I wouldn't go talking trash about the power he's putting down. Yes 196 isn't the highest and Demon is close if not right there, but look at that torque #- 183ft. lbs. will lay some smack down! I've run several 14 second passes with high 2.3 60' times and my car only puts down around 160 or so tq.. I say keep up the great work everyone! Ours cars may be getting older, but they sure are getting faster. laugh Oh, and stock SVT's usually only dyno around 165/160(usually).

Well, upping hp by 20% and tq by a much higher % is nothing to shake a stick at. Especially when it is from a 3L V6, not some massive V8.

You may have seen a supercharged SVT put down 264+ HP. However they do not seem to be very reliable in the least.

The swap he did was an entire 3L engine (200/200 stock) and put SVT cams in it. (don't know about intakes, TB, exhaust, etc???)

So 196/183 at the wheels = about 239HP / 201TQ at the crank. Not too bad for a baseline...

So your comments are not only out of line, but ignorant as well...

You did notice this is listed as the "first" dyno'd hybrid of this setup and was a baseline at that; right???

Also this swap can be done for about 1/3 of the cost of a S/C

David's car is 247 hp to the wheels, with a lot of mods......I'd take 196 hp to the wheels that is basically stock! Better than my 2.5L with 175 whp with a KKM and exhaust.
