I'm a little mean to my poor clutch.
A little slip my be great on a woman, but it's a bit hard on the clutch.
Yes wheel spin can be a problem, but bogging the engine is worse...
Actually launching from about 2500 is the easiest. Minimal spin, easily controllable and consistent 60' times even though not stellar (2.3 range)
Slipping from high rpm's will generate better times, but it's very easy to blow right through the tires.
Modulating the clutch & pedal is the way to launch a FWD (or cornering even)
I highly recommend the ES trans insert & filled motor mounts to help with drivetrain wind up and consistency...
I also recommend full air pressure. Rolling resistance is your enemy...
Dropping your air pressure will not help the tires hook up better. The fact it's FWD (no weight transfer), stiff sidewall (heck the KDW's are self supporting run flat - they'll never bow/ripple), and low profile street radials = no benefits...
