On the 180 degree bend note. IIRC Mazda dyno tested it to improve midrange torque as well.
So did MSDS when they were testing out Y-pipe designs.
I think a Y-pipe without the 180 degree bend
may make more torque below IMRC point with a chip, but I noticed a slight dip in my graphs from 4200-5000 that a lot of other SVT's do not have. That's even chipped.
Now that could be something you can tune out with an S-AFC
Maybe I'll have to dyno with a Y-pipe with the 180 bend in the near future...
