The correction factor, shown as CF=x.xx in the dyno plots has a HUGE effect on the overall result of your dyno pull. So coming on here and saying "My SE makes more power/torque than your SVT is not a true statement. Unless you ran as the same dyno with the same EXACT weather conditions and thus same exact CF number, then you cannot compare dyno numbers ever. Like it or lump it, that' the fact, Jack!

Dyno's are good for before and after comparisons if they are done on the same dyno with the same consditions, other than that you cannot use them for any other type of comparison.
I could easily show you my SVT make 250hp at the wheels by messing arounf with the CF number.

All that said, I can almost guarantee that Steve's A/F ratio is messed up seeing as he has no fuel/spark compenstion for his mods. If he were to fix this, he would definitely improve his numbers without a doubt.

I kindly disagree about the 180 degree bend.

That's very interesting data, because many stock non SVT duratec v6's baseline around 150lbsft of torque to start. Hmm, computer code related too? A number of the torque losses I have seen, from removing the 180 bend were with SVT's but again, that is not all, just some of the ones I have observed.

On the 180 degree bend note. IIRC Mazda dyno tested it to improve midrange torque as well.

So did MSDS when they were testing out Y-pipe designs.

I think a Y-pipe without the 180 degree bend may make more torque below IMRC point with a chip, but I noticed a slight dip in my graphs from 4200-5000 that a lot of other SVT's do not have. That's even chipped.

Now that could be something you can tune out with an S-AFC

Maybe I'll have to dyno with a Y-pipe with the 180 bend in the near future... laugh

i dyno'd the same thing on mine... kkm vs. stock = very small difference...

Makes sense...Kinda....because if you take away some backpressure, doesn't torque usually go down?
