You just don't realize how a high powered Turbo works. The turbos take a little longer to generate power which a Supercharged Mustang can do a bit quicker. Which explains why he got a jump on the Supra. There was no way he was gonna win a high speed shootout with out a very, very highpowered supercharged 5.0, and even then drag comes into play with the earlier model Mustangs! I love my 5.0's, I've got one myself, I run a business mostly focused towards Mustang Performance, but you need to give props where props belongs!!! Gawd Damn
Heh, I don't think you realize how racing works. See whoever is ahead when they let off is the winner, flybys don't count even if the guy behind is gaining. The 'stang won this race, sure call him a chicken for not wringing it out, but he still won... Sure he was *about* to get beaten, but he didn't.
'Course I know I'm going on kind of a technicality here... trust me I know it takes quite an unusual mustang to generate a kill top end wise against a supra... if they started at 120+ the 'stang simply wouldn't have a chance!
Rereading my post though I could see why you responded the way you did though... I didn't really emphasize the fact that I knew the supra was going to pass him sooner or later.
I guess I'm just pissed that with the "gawd damn" comment by the passenger it makes the 'stang look like it got smoked much worse than it actually did...
