9.8metres/second is not terminal velocity. A car falling from the air reaches terminal velocity when the force of air resistance pushing up against the car is equal to the force of gravity pushing the car downward. At this point, the car is no longer accelerating, but falling at a constant speed. The terminal velocity for cars would vary according to weight and the physical position of the car falling downward, but it's usually a very healthy 120-130 miles an hour at top speed, which I'm sure this Supra could take.
