I dunno...

That sounds kinda fishy to me, I've been autoXing for a while and taking the tour to the NASA/SCCA opentrack events and have yet to have an engine fail due to oil starvation. Maybe I'm just lucky?

I never overfill my oil, but *usually* change my oil before I hit the longer road courses.

By the way, did you guys know that the 3L oil pan is a little deeper and is slightly small in surface area?

TLP & Silva-

There are ALOT more blown 2.5's than you think. Not everyone responds to every "post here if you blew a motor" post. I've already filled out several, but not that one. Yea, I've blown a motor. No hard right turn involved. #5 con rod bearing spun. I disassembled it myself to make sure that was the problem. Accusump here I come...

How difficult is it to install a Accusump? Would Fraud give me a hard time if they saw it?

windage tray? They said there is no oil in the pan, how's a windage tray gonna help that, except slow down the oil drainback even more. The thing to do is improve drainback

The 3L heads have 3 oil drainback holes instead of 2 like the 2.5. Perhaps that helps. Is there any info on the taurus blowing engines in the same manner?

no accusumps are easy to install-
yeah you might get problems from ford-
but hey if you sneazed they could claim that the toasted motor was your fault fro having drivin at excessive forward velocity because while you sneezed you thought you were going slower and hit the gas.
