Well I added the sho-shop off road y-pipe so I went backto dyno to see what kind of gains I got. The weather in Houston was really good today and I was expecting decent numbers. The corrected numbers are 184.2 hp/ 157.6 tq but the actual horsepower was 189.1 because of the 70 degree temp and 20% humidity. I think this is a first for me to lose power with the correction factors but oh well I am pretty happy with the corrected numbers. The y-pipe added between three and four horsepower through the run.

I will have to buy a scanner and send them to someone who can post them for me. I may pick one up in the next couple of days so everyone can see the graphs.

I thought you had to use the MSDS Y-pipe with their headers? I've also heard they work better together. Why are you still using the SHO shop pipe? Kinda curious about this.

I used the Sho-shop because the guy who I bought the headers from in the classifieds neglected to mention that he had already sold the MSDS Y. I had the headers and my Quaife installed by Terry Haines and we discussed the y-pipes it was his opinion that the sho-shop y-pipe would flow better so rather than trying to find an MSDS-Y I used the Sho-shop. I think the dyno that shows gains with the MSDS-Y over the Sho-shop is misleading because different cats were used with each Y-pipe.

I didn't know about the differences in the cat in other dynos. Makes the results seem more like what they want you to believe. Either way, those are definately some nice numbers. I am just imagining how my numbers woudl respond to a set of MSDS. I think I will put it further down the list and worry about which direction of travel I should pick, chip/EEC Tuner/Apexi.
