Lance- I would not remove the stock res. for a straight pipe. I did that w/my SHOshop pipe and it was so loud car alarms would go off as I drove down the street. Less than a day later I replaced the straight pipe w/a perforated core glasspack I got at the Local Auto Parts store. BTW, you will notice a HUGE difference with the SVT TB/Upper IM combo. At least I did on my 95. I should be over 160hp now with very similar mods to yours. Alex in Boulder, CO 95SE MTX 157hp 151tq before latest mods...

Not to be a prick but did anyone notice the "actual horsepower" and "actual torque" on the side of the graph? That means the number you got were not SAE corrected. Which also means the SAE corrected number could be either higher or lower depending on the corretion factor. You might want to go back to the dyno shop and tell them to give you the corrected number so you can accurately compare your number to other contours. Hope this helps.

Lance, I also would recommend getting a more free flowing exhaust, whether you chop out the resonator for a couple horsepower or upgrade to a Bassani(nice)/Borla(ugly) system. With the addition of your y-pipe, you should expect at least 6-8 hp coming from the exhaust being upgraded. At least thats what I got on my SVT after adding the enhaust. You have a 96 Tour correct? Next time your going down to Turbo Tech, slip me an email to jared@dialupusa.net and I wanna go to. Been down there many times because my brother has a Paxton Supercharged 99 GT Stang that pulled 340 HP at the rear wheels. Unfortunately they screwed up his supercharger install (Belt fell off and my brother lost steering and other functions luckily at slow speeds and not on the freeway on the way home .... because they *forgot to tighten a bolt*) ... woops! But I want to have my car dyno'd and would be happy to get together with a couple other people to go in on it. I want to get it dyno'd bvefore I get my 3.0 here in a couple months. Also, whats up with the Contour breakfast here in the Seattle area?? Email Me! Jared@dialupusa.net
