I'm thinking about installing additional gauges under the radio of my 2000 SVT. I'll probably do a voltmeter, oil pressure, and either H20 or oil temp.

Has anyone done this installation? Any tips?

What would be the best locations to tap into the oil pressure for either an electrical or mechanical gauge? Same for the temp gauge...where would be the best place to tap in for either oil or H20?

Thanks

Henry

Do a quick search on oil pressure gages. This topic has been discussed many times. It even popped up again just lately.

I'd like to know what you are using for a gauge holder. I too am tempted to put oil temp and pressure hanging below the radio. I don't want to do it unless it really look nicely integrated.

Go to profiles and look at Gregg Brimacombe's 1997 se. He has a photo of some guages under his radio. Although this is a different year than yours it should be some what helpful.

I installed a cap-mounted volt-meter in the pass. side cup holder. I was able to mount it on top of the ashtray...It it fits quite nicely...hoping to get the contour dash badge with the clock opening...then I can move it up there...maybe...
