AFAIK, they were made to work with the struts the Cougar came with from the factory. Im sure the spring rates are different than H&Rs, and others. Also, the Roush springs are progressive rate, which I dont really know if that makes a difference or not.
As far as how much they lower the car, Ive heard in the range of 1.2 inches.
