Most of the supposed advantages of synth (which I adhere to, btw) are lost if it is mixed with dino. Blends are a way to charge more for something that basically performs the same as dino.
As for extended drain oils, only AMsoil, Red Line, and IIRC Royal Purple are designed for extended drain, and even they recommend filter changes between oil changes.
