Really glad this post came along, while I'm using castrol GTX right now due to being overwhelmed by credit card bills, my next oil change will be Amsoil with an Amsoil filter, I did a good deal of reading up on this and it seems to be the best combo. Amsoils filters apparently filter out much finer contaminants, and their oil is rated to last 7500 miles!
