I've tried to ask this question a few times before, but with no avail.

What are the differences, how do they ride, how much do they lower, overall quality etc...?

Also, I've heard that you should have an alignment done after they're installed and replace the original shocks or struts I believe???

Can someone help me out here? I'd really like to get mine lowered, and just want to do it right for the 'Tour!

Thanks guys,
-Brian

I used eibachs with kyb struts. ride is nice and looks better. also get an alignment! i work at a shop that does them and i check mine like once a month after you lower your can it will never be perfect, although you may or maynot see tire wear.

H&Rs: Front is dropped more than Eibachs, rear is less. H&Rs give a "raked" look (where the front seems slammed and the rear is a little higher). Ride is slightly stiffer than Eibachs.

Eibachs: Front is a little higher than H&Rs, but rear is dropped more. Eibachs give a more "level" look to the cars. Ride quality tends to be slightly more comfortable on tough roads.

Both companies are very respectable in suspension components.

Alignment is a must after lowering a car because toe will be out of specification. You can also now buy a camber/caster adjustment kit, which will allow you to change these specifications after lowering. Upgraded struts are also highly recommended because not only will they last longer than stock struts, it will save you time changing them when you change the springs, instead of having to replace them later! Good luck!

Both sping companies are first rate, if your into autocross or all out racing I recommend H&R due to their compression being stiffer.
