So on one end you just have the hole where you use the stock bolt. And on the other end you have another hole drilled through w/ another piece of metal(W/ hole in it). They act as a clamp to the stock (Welded in plate).

Well then you might want to speak to Terry because he is the one who suggested it. I posed the same questions to him and he said it was tested on a car and that it held up just fine?
