As noticed in a thread from late December, I see that my experience with front spring noise after this Band-Aid patch was applied is not unique.

My dealer is getting its 4th (and last) chance tomorrow to get it right.

Has anyone had a dealer who did get it right (without removing the whole thing) and can relay to the forum how it was done?

Thanks,

Steve

Well, I had the dealer pay for my replacement Eibach springs through the recall, and no shields were installed at all... laugh :p cool

I've heard that several dealers just end up removing the shields altogether due to customer complaints of the noise.

Followup:

Dealer finally gave up with the shields and installed new springs.

Since it's my wife's comuter car, I wasn't about to go with the Eibachs. (Maybe on my SHO, but not her car smile

hehe
