Yes, lowering a Macpherson strut equipped vehicle WILL give you negative camber.
But when you say "dial in" that usually means you deliberatley adjusted something. Hence the term - dial.
In the case of our cars, camber adjustment out of your control. It's just a byproduct of lowering.
So I was commenting on the fact that it sounded like ssmumich00 was saying that he adjusted the camber by some sort of alignment process which I called BS.
