Hey whats up guys, DEVIOUSDEV from NECO here laugh , Since no one in NECO has these, I was looking into getting them, but I had a few questions first laugh

-What is your impression of them?

-How easy were they to get installed? (Like How much did it cost to get welded on?)

-Do you have any Installation tips/pointers to share?

-Do you ever scrape the bars going over speedbumps or anything? (How much lower do they hang under the car?)

-Do you have any pics of them installed? or uninstalled for that matter wink ?

-Feel free to add any other comments on them, like if there are any negatives to getting them, or are they like one of the best mods you have done wink ?

-For anyone in NorCal, have any recommendations on where to have them installed?

Thanks in advance for any and all replies laugh

Yes, we are all patiently waiting for the owners of these little gems to give their opinions. I am especially interested in intallation tips since I have seen a couple of different veiws previously posted and would like some clarification.

Well, I'm not the owner of the car but I talked somebody that has them(in person)about how good they were.

Jose97 is his screen name here, in the Utah forums. Anyway, he has a 97 with the SVT side skirts and rear bumper and you certainly can see them with that stuff on. If the sides were bare(no skirts at all)then they'd probably be visible.

They look pretty sweet, they're about the length of the side skirt and he had them welded, pretty much, down the entire length of the connector. To sum up what he said they make the car feel much more stable, especially in sweeping corners, and just give it a more solid feel all together.

Should be a worth while mod if the welding doesn't cost too much. I can't imagine it would, just lines...nothing major...I can't remember how much he said it cost him. I'm guessing $100 maybe less maybe more. HTH. laugh

Maybe at the next Utah meet I will have to see if he will take me for a ride in his car. From the sound of it, they would compliment the aussie bar nicely. smile

It is just a U shaped steel peice or is it "Contoured" to the car? Because if it's just U shaped then any metal shop in town should have the stock and machinery to make to equal length parts for you cheaply. As well as install them.

Just following up on what Brad mentioned about Jose97's car - they ran the length of the side skirt, welded up to the body and they seemed to have some form of connector that went up into the rear wheelwell. Correct me if I'm wrong Brad.
It was dark out when we were looking at them, and boy was that ground we were laying on cold, preventing a long detailed look.
Jose did say they helped alot though. They don't look very light though... His were the SHOShop ones IIRC...

Yep, there are some brackets that extend up a few inches in the rear. Where the main frame rails start to curve up into the trunk. They are probably heavy as **** though...the ground was about 30 degrees so we didn't look long. eek

Not sure about the weight...might add too much...depends on the person and the cars primary function. laugh
