Seeing as a few of us are having issues with the rear sway bar backing plates breaking, I have come up with a solution to fix and/or prevent the rear sway bar mounts from breaking due to upgraded sway bars being installed.
I just got the material for the backing plates, so I have the upgraded weld-in backing plates almost done. They will be completed this weekend. I have 14 sets. They will be shaped and predrilled, so they just need tot be welded in when you get them. $10 per pair (one pair required for each Aussiebar equipped car), plus $3 to ship.
If you want a set you can PayPal me the $13 using my email address below. Put "Swaybar Backing Plates" in the subject of your PayPal.
Terry Haines will be developing some in the very near future for supply with the AussieBar Kit, this is just for the time being as I know Terry is VERY busy right now.
So for now I am just trying to help some people out seeing as I supplied the first batch of sway bars, and I feel somewhat obligated to help those in need. I do not intend to do this forever, as Terry Haines is the authorized ditrbutor of the AussieBar, and he is my friend. I do not intend to take business from him, in fact I will most probably relinquish the design of my plates over to him so that he can use it, or modify the design and then supply it as an upgrade with the sway bar packages he is offering.
So for now if you need a set of backing plates let me know.

Yeah guys, Get these. I had some fabricated about 1.5 weeks ago before aussie was making them. But, they are very similar to what he is making. Buy them. Thats super cheap and it really made a nice difference! Joe

Could these possibly work with the stock se bar (18mm)? I really need to do something, I have a feeling my bracket slots are worn and the brackets are loose....

These will work with ANY Rear Sway Bar, as long as you buy the right sized Prothan sway bar bushings and brackets to go to the two-hole design.

Sway Bar Brackets are available from JC Whitney or from these guys http://macsspring.com/ VERY IMPORTANT - They have to be the small, "A" style, brackets!! Otherwise they won't fit the subframe.
