Ok right now my car is on the jack with the wheel off. Weve undone all the bolts but we cant break this ball joint kinda under the rotor. Does that need to come off? On the thing on this website that says how to lower a contour it says do not take out the strut. Well how can you get the spring out?? UUGhh this is hard!! lol

OK, hopefully the strut is still bolted into the tower, right? OK, now get a wedge or cold chisel and tap it into the split in the knuckle where the ball joint is held (After you have removed the bolt COMPLETELY from the hole). This should spread the knuckle and loosen it. Then step down on the A-arm and swing the strut and knuckle to the side. PS if you need help call me at work right now 1-800-299-AXLE and ask the receptionist for Stazi. PS I wrote those instructions so I know what I am talking about.

For another 2 hours PS make sure you DON't pull on the shaft as it will separate from the inner CV joint and then your in the shiz! What you should do it is get a couple of BIG zip ties to loop around the back of the inner CV joint and then around the front, connecting them together tight to hold the joint together.
