If you have problems with A arms, either the bushings (horiz or vert types) you may want to consider the latest addition to HMS Inc services. We will either 1) Sell you exchange A arms, rebuilt with NEW OEM inner bushes and NEW OEM lower balljoints (core charge until we have your old parts) or 2)Ship us your existing A arms , we check and rebuild with all NEW components (as in 1) and ship them back to you.We are now getting our first shipments of parts from Germany and hope to start early Jan 2002.On all 'A' Arms with HORIZ bushings we will be also offering POLY bushes for rebuild/exchange units Vs the OEM rubber bushes. Also included for Jan 2002 are 'REBUILT A Arms with CAMBER ADJUSTMENT'.This post is to advise you that you dont have to pay the price of a new A arm any more!!!Pricing and further details will be posted soon. Please contact us if you think you may find our service useful in the early part of 2002, trying to gage interest...Thank You

So, the fron A-arms whith horizontal bushings end with two large horizontal bushings and on either side of each horizontal bushing there is a vertical bolt that apears to have a smaller bushing above and below the mount? on my 1998 se the main bushing for the front a-arms are like my above description and look not much like the haynes manual drawings that i am assuming show the vertical bushings?

The early and some SVT A arms have horiz bushings (2) and are held to the subframe by 4 vert bolts. The later vert bushings (2) are held to the subframe with two vert bolts.

I'll do it with the adjustable camber option once they're available and I have the money. Is it going to just adjustable camber or caster also? It's nice to be able to get them rebuilt with adjustability from Terry Haines for less than the cost of a new one from ford anyway. laugh

I can't get these soon enough. Was putting my snows on yesterday and inspected my A Arms. I have horiz bushings. Don't know what a bad one looks like, but I do know what tire wear means. Both fronts (run for 3500 miles up front) are very worn on the inner edge. The rears (which spent 5k up front earlier) are also worn on the inside, but not as severely. I need an alignment BAD! But I can't do that until I get my HMS A Arms with upgraded bushings. smile You da man Terry.
