Is there anyone who is in need of new A arms? I guess I should say new bushings for A arms. If you've looked into the install on the left side it entails removing the transaxle to access the front bolt(s). I have a better way, but it means replacing the bolts. You'll have to cut the tops off them so they can drop down. Then replace them by pushing them up and installing the nut on top, which is the reverse of the factory mounting arrangement. I've got spare OEM bolts which have been cross drilled for safety wire or cotter pins. This is for safety in case the nut ever comes loose. Wouldn't want to lose a control arm on an on/off ramp at speed! PM me if you're interested.

BTW-Ford only sells them in multi quantity packages.

I was looking at my A-arms yesterday and I think I know why the front bushings come out.
If you lok at the rear bushings, they are "captured" better than the fronts as the metal sleeve around the rubber is actually coined over the ends of the rubber whereas the font are just like a straight cut tube, thus allowing the bushing to move either up or down in the sleeve, unrestricted. That is just a poor design!

Personally, I feel that the use of rubber, although common in OEM applications, is a big part of the problem here. Rubber degrades with time. Add a little leaking engine oil, steering fluid, etc. into the equation and they fail even quicker. It wouldn't be so bad if Ford would supply replacement bushings, but I guess someone saw an opportunity to make extra $$$ by making us buy an arm complete with a new ball joint and bushings!
