Just ordered the Koni adjustables the other day and I'm getting H&R's in the next couple of days. Will I be scraping after I get all that stuff put on??? It doesn't look like much room for it to be lowered!!! I still have my factory wheels and the regular 205/55 tires. Should I be in good shape?? Any info would be appreciated!! Thanx

I drive my cougar around with about 3" of clearance for the front air dam when the car is sitting on level pavement.... i also work in Dearborn Michigan, home of some of North American's worst roads.... Now i do scrape ocasional but not that often... mind you when i first started doing this i scraped quite a bit... you get used to it, you figure out that you must take all driveways on an angle, avoid pot holes, and speed bumps unless you know they aren't tall/deep enough... i also rode around for 3+ weeks with less than 2" clearance and no major problems so like i said it takes some getting used to but it's very possible.

You'll scrape here and there, but with you knowing your car is lower now, you'll be more careful.

Don't worry about it, you'll be fine.

Could I just sport the koni's instead of getting springs or should I just go the whole 9 yards???

The Konis alone will give you a big improvement in handling and overall control, with no drop whatsoever. Most people wnjoy the look and feel of a slightly stiffer and shorter spring though, I think you should throw on some Eibachs or H&R's while you're at it with the whole suspension apart!

Don't worry about the scraping... Some of us run way lower than the H&R's and still don't scrape. You need to be careful though, don't drive it like it's a rental Buick, over curbs, jumping speed bumps and hitting potholes on purpose!

I've got the Eibachs and Konis.

I have the Konis set on full soft on the front, and 3/4 turn towards firm in the rear.
