i used all regular sized wrenchs nothing special

Yeah, regular wrenches on my 95 also, but it was very tight and usually in 1/10 turn increments. Mark the subframe before loosening it, to make sure everything aligs back up when your done. I had to loosen the rear subframe a bunch and the front a little. I think it was worth while for the slight improvement in cornering stiffness.
