okay,
I know some of you have the SHO-Shop's rear strut brace... but I don't feel like spending $150 for a damn bar.
I've heard that a few of you have custom made bars from either HOME DEPOT parts or modded bars designed for other cars.
Anyone want to post pics of their custom bars and give us a "how-to"??? Or if you used a bar made for other cars... can you tell us what brand/make/model. I recalled someone brought a bar from Summit racing and recently someone else was just trying to fit a VW bar into his ride.
Thanks alot.
I want to make my own bar and spend around $50~65.

Nope!
He "mass produced" the sway bars (AussieBar), but he has his own custom rear strutbrace.
Edit: Check out this link to his pics, and read down ~5 posts for his description.

Found this gold anodized aluminum stock at a scrap yard for like $6. Mounted to strut tower with 1 1/2" aluminum angle iron and some spacers, bolts, nuts, etc. Very noticable difference in reducing understeer and keeping the car flat(er) in corners.

Thanks TwoWheelin for the pic...
That bar looks great, nice job.
So... I'm guessing you've spent a whopping $10 for your bar.

whats the difference between strut brace and sway bar. If the strut brace goes in the trunk, where does the sway bar go?

...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.
