I'm looking to upgrade my car's original suspension, but I don't want any thing extravagant or that's gonna wear-out quickly because the springs are too firm. Thanks for any help.

Take a look at some of the posts and I think you'll find that the BAT euro handling kit gets mostly pretty good reviews. For a GL you'll really need to get some stiffer springs, and the kit has struts already matched to their springs.
