Well... I just looked at the "New" design of the SHOShop rear strut tower brace.

It DOES NOT attach to the struts. Guess I have not checked out their site lately...

This looks like a very good rear brace IMO...

Fully adjustable and can be mounted a few different ways...

This would be my choice...

I have a 24mm rear sway bar with poly bushings, front poly bushings (stock bar), and a polished alum. front strut tower brace bolted on. I am very happy with the overall feel of the car. Not lowered.

Anyone want to buy a 18mm SVT rear sway bar for a good price?...

email me, john.herrick@state.mn.us

Hey Chris,
sorry that I took off so quick today, I had to go and meet up with my sister and mom so I was kinda stuck. I really wanted to stay a little longer and shoot the sh*t but of course I have to have time restrictions mad Well anyways it was cool meeting you, drop me an e-mail and let me know what you and Eric talked about, my e-mail is rkraft@indiana.edu .

BTW - did you decide if you are doing the sway bar or not?

I have the front OMP strut tower brace.
you can tell a diffence with it on.
The main thing i noticed is that when your taking turns fast, and there are bumps in the road and it feels like the tires loss grip or actually jump off the road for a second...well this gets elliminated.
fells much more sturdy/stiff going through the turns.

i think i'm getting the rear sway bar next...i've heard only great things about it

Ryan,
S' alright. When you left, i asked Eric a couple more questions about the rear sway bar. Im pretty sure im going to get the 19mm. He mentioned something about intakes and i said i had a Weapon-r, so he asked if he could see what it looked like cause hes never seen one before and i said sure. So he checked out that. Then a little bit later he asked if i had any spare time to maybe work a little for them since im interested in cars...mostly like packaging stuff. He said that maybe we could workout like a work-for-parts kinda deal. Im considering it but not sure right now because im loaded with school work.

Antiramie,
JontourSVT has his 18mm bar for sale(didn't know if you missed that). Also with a lot of people replacing their rear bar with the 24mm and other bars you may be able to get a used 19mm from an early SE for little $. You should watch out for rust though on early bars. Probably just have to be carfull what area it comes from, snow belt or not. Mine is rusted pretty bad. It is just peeling paint/surface rust kinda thing though. I suppose you could clean and paint.

Whatever you do, do not attach any braces to your struts!!! This will break them as this has already happened to a buddy of mine...cracked his strut in half! Strut tower braces should be attached to the strut towers not the struts.
