NO, not at all. Doing the tranny cocktail stems from a TSB issued by ford. The TSB calls for replacing the factory fill ATF to Ford's synthetic transmission fluid along with a friction modifier. The AMS OIL ATF meets the specifications of Ford's synthetic ATF, and the friction modifier I will get is the modifier called out for in the TSB.
