H.I.D.'s don't burn hot. There actually cooler than standard 55w lights.Most are only 35 watt.

Technically speaking, light color is measured in degrees Kelvin. So, the whiter the light, the "hotter" the color is said to be. SilverStars produce light at 4000K, HID's in the 4500K range. But, as for temperature of the actual bulb, then yes...HID's run at a cooler operating temperature.

DemonSVT, I wasn't talking about physical temp, but the output of the light's.

I have the silverstars and love them... I have yet to read someone that doesnt like them. BTW I have the brights in the dim socket mod done, and Cool Blue brights in the bright socket... -Nick
