The 1977 - 80 Lincoln Versailles.

Versailles ? a city in Italy.

The name may have not been the worlds worst... But if you ever had the opportunity to drive one... It was a joke!

It was Lincoln?s first attempt at creating something small which would appeal to a younger age group.
What this car truly was, was a Ford Granada with a Lincoln kit on the front and the Continental trunk lid hump surrounded with the Granada tail lights on the rear deck lid.
Poofy interior and electric window / door locks. Woohoo!!!

My parents actually test drove a two tone Teal Blue/Green one in 1980 ? but decided to get a white Town Car instead... Thank God!

Check out this web page to see more about the car - http://www.onlinelincolns.com/versailles/

There were only a total of 50,156 sold.
Makes you wonder... What are people thinking?
