Thats the biggest problem is knowing were you can go to get quality work done. I know alot of people here post about horror stories associated with poor customer service and dealers ruining their car. For that reason I prefer to do as much of the work on my Car as possible. But the dealer in town here, in Windsor, Bill Selig Ford, is has the #1 rated service dept. in all of CT. In fact I know the assistant manager and the sales manager personally. And Steve, the service manager, will bend over backwards if you are nice and don't make a scene, infact, he runs a real tight ship, doesn't stand for technicians screwing up, but most of the techs have been working there at leaast 2 years so they have some knowledge of the ford product.

I have never had a problem with their service and neither has my Dad or anyone else I know for that matter.

As for places to go to get custom work done, Just look around in your local area, check the yellow pages. I can't recommend any place in particular since I have never done business with any place like that.

I can tell you where to go for tires. Place called GCR, They are a tire wholesaler, you can get tires for awesome prices and they do all the work while you watch and wait. don't be fooled by the building, they mostly deal with big trucks but will do car tires, just go in the driveway head straigt to the building in front of you and walk in the door at the far left. They are located off exit 4 of 291 in East Windsor. They are in the yellow pages.

Hey this is awesome. I was checking out the other forums and saw a few people from CT. I've got a 95 gl stock. I didn't want to drop any money into it since I knew I wanted to get an svt. But I can't find the one I want. I'm looking for a silver svt w/ black interior w/ no spoiler. I've been researching for quality performance shops to due aftermarket upgrades. There's some shops I believe in Danbury and down in Milford and W. Haven. Again, never got anything done since I don't have the svt.

Again, the Ct forum is cool.

...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.

Ever been to the Berlin Turnpike I did go once with my friend who has a 76 Charger, the on with the big wing on thew back, people laughed at us, said it was ugly, they cried when he opened up that 426 HEMI. He has it all set up for drag racing, runs rich as he-- and barely idles. Nothing even came close to beaing us, infact he never even floored it once that night. We couldn't stay long though, running low on gas. he uses the 100LL AVgas (100 octane, 2ml per gallon of tetraethyl lead), he gets it at ellington airport, BC they let him drive up to the pump.

He tried to have it dynoed once, the dyno went up to 600 HP and HE PEGGED OUT THE DYNO!!! Well over 600 HP!!!!!!!!!!!!! He pushed 600 HP at 3600 RPM and the HEMI is like the SVT, Doesn't start pumping out ponies until the revs get up above 4000.
Fastest car I was ever in, it pulled so hard it hurt, really, it hurt. He would gas it and shift the gears and the tires didn't stop spinning between gears!!!!!! On the highway doing 70 he can just floor it and light up the tires.

Well if you want an SVT you better be quick, as they don't stay "for sale" for long.
