All,
I have a bit of a problem on my hands here. The clutch in my tour is on its last leg and will probably die in the next couple of days. Problem is I have no clue where to take the car to have an aftermarket clutch installed. Obviously i want a shop that does good work, and therefore the ford dealer is out of the question.
Any sugestions????????????????

Mahdavi is probably expensive but I got a good feeling about them after seeing them at the show this weekend.

They won't touch the tranny on the tour. I called them first. For what its worth i was dealing with them before i ever knew about CEG, as they are less than a mile up the road from me.
Any other ideas????

I wish i could recomend a tranny shop. But the only one i know would try to rape you.
And Bruce im supprised a clutch job is eaisy even on a FWD.I would offer to help you but im kinda short on time. Every standard car ive had i installed the clutch myself.
For the sake of conversation i will ask the shop tomorrow for a price. But if i were you i would supply my own clutch assembly..
I will lwt you know tomorrow Bruce on the price.

I will lwt you know tomorrow Bruce on the price. Thanx man. I understand your time constraints for sure so no worries mate! I am considering a DIY job but they say you have to drop the sub frame and take the whole sup. apart. I have heard from 9 to 12 hours by the book. I have also heard that Terry Haines can do it in 2.5, but he has done an ass load of em. I do plan on getting aftermarket clutch and even a light flywheel, but if its gonna cost $700 just for the install.... that cuts into my parts money in a big way. Its around $500 for a clutch master stage 1, and another $400 for a Fidanza flywheel. OUCH!!!!

Good news Bruce. I asked my boss today, he said if you supply the clutch and flywheel. Or whatever parts you wanted replaced. They would R&I the tranny, install the parts for $389.00 Total. For the labor. And there arent any hidden charges so $389.00 is the total.... What cha think. I thought that was a very nice price. Hes doing it for that because i told him how much you helped me on the ole project.. Hopefully they wont have too many bolts left over. LOL !!!!!! Nah they will do you a top notch job. I already asked Keith if he would do it. Because he does a very thorough job
