CHECK THIS OUT!!! MEET MEET MEET MEET!!!!!Hi guys. As many of you may know, next weekend is Fun Ford Weekend at Atlanta Dragway. For those that don't know, the Fun Ford Weekend series is a nationally recognized ford only drag race and car show series. April 19, 20, and 21 is the Peach State Fun Ford Weekend at Atlanta Dragway. Qualifying begins on the 19th, with eliminations Saturday and Final Rounds on Sunday. There is also a great car show both days sponsored by Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine that draws participants from all over the southeast. Usually, Saturday's show is judged by the participants and Sunday's show is judged by appointed judges. There is also a manufacturer's midway, swap meet, and plenty to eat and drink. Last year, Team Mustang was there, as was Ford Racing, Saleen, Sean Hyland Motorsports, CNL, Level 10, Art Carr, Nitrous express, and many more. Racing classes include everything from street classes, mod motored stangs, top truck, all the way to 7 second pro-5.0 cars. There's even a focus frenzy bracket for focus only drag competition!
Check out the detailed schedule of the weekend's events here:
http://www.funford.com/NextEvent.html I think that Ryan and Alan are going to be entering the car show...Go get em guys! I will certainly be there with em to show support for the CEG. I was hoping some of you guys would like to hang out during the event. The cost for a one day ticket is $20 and a two day ticket is $35 (Saturday-Sunday). I thought we could meet up Saturday morning around 9 AM at the Shoney's just off the HWY 441/Commerce GA exit and then caravan on down the street to the event after breakfast.
If anyone is interested in going to Fun Ford Weekend for our next meet, then please post up your interest! I hope we get some more participants for the car show too! This show is not like an import show....clean STOCK cars are just as welcome as modified cars. As a matter of fact, I got a couple of buy offers on mean green last year with the car in the show...it really drew a crowd because NO ONE knew what it was or really appreciated what it was but never saw one up close.
Anyway, entry fee for the show is the same as entry as a spectator, ($20 for one day and $35 for both) so SHINE UP THOSE TOURS AND REPRESENT!
Let us know your interest in showing, hanging out, or stopping by for a while to check out the action. Let's have a big meet and a big showing of contours to support Alan's & Ryan's works of art!
