Ok fellas, lets get another meet going. Looks like we'll have another good turnout. Let's shoot for February 23rd.

Ryan tells me that we'll have a couple of special guests join us. Ryan has arranged for a representative from Vitek, maker of quality plug wires, clutches, and other high performance items for many models of car including the contour, cougar and mystique to join us. Also, I think we will have Shawn from Innovative Performance Technologies come join us too. Shawn has a performance business and is highly interested in the tuning needs of SHO, contour, cougar, and mystique owners Together, they want to talk to us about what kinds of services and products they offer, and what kinds of services and products we are looking for for our cars. I personally will want to talk to them about their line of spark plug wires. This is a rare opportunity for we as a club to work directly with a product manufacturer and performance tuner to develop some specific products for our cars! So bring your questions and your imagination.

Because of our guests, I think we should have a combination of things to do at this meet. I am thinking we should do some sort of show and shine in the day time, with a possible cruise up to the mountains or to Atlanta Dragway to check out the test and tune action. If its rainy, then we could do Andretti Speedlab. We can then cap the day off with a healthy dose of wings and beer (and coke for David smile ) from one of our fine metro hooters locations wink . This will give our guests flexibility to join us as they have time and provide plenty of stuff for us to do in between.

RYAN: I know Vitek is local. Would it be possible to meet at their business location, maybe take a tour of their warehouse/operations? Might be a better forum for us to talk with the reps, especially in regard to product. We need to let them know we are interested, despite what some other users of this site may think.

Guys, let me know what you think about this plan. I'll post on the NECO cougar forums too. Let's have a good time on the 23rd!! laugh laugh

Sounds like you got the initiative! I'm all for it! It'd be nice to check out their wares up close and hear it from the horses mouth. Count me in.

BTW, sorry I missed your dyno run. frown

Actually, we have Ryan to thank for establishing the relationship with Vitek. I am looking forward to talking with Vitek and with Shawn Pasley from Innovative Performance, especially since I'm getting ready for some serious mods.

Thanks Ryan! Let us know if the Vitek rep and Shawn will be joining us.

Here's an itenerary that I think would be great for the meet. Hopefully something similar will work out for us:

Meet up around 10 or 11 o'clock.

Shine up the cars/check out the latest on each other's rides as we wait for everyone to come around.

Eat lunch at like 12 or 12:30 at a local burger joint.

Go see the fellas at Vitek or meet up with them somewhere to talk about their products/services (keeping my fingers crossed)

Cruise on back to Andretti Speedlab or Dave and Busters for some fun, some laughs, and some budweiser, and possibly grab a bite to eat for dinner depending on what everyone has planned for the evening.

Where would you guys like to meet as a gathering spot on the 23rd? Let us know.

So, is anyone going to go? confused

We could meet @ my place or we could meet somewhere more general like the Media Play on the corner of Steve Reynolds and Venture Drive or something. Where would a good gathering place be?

If you want a meeting place, we can meet at my place in Doraville.

I'll be there. Last time was fun, but didn't get to mingle (drink) as much as I wanted cause the oil & spark plug change took up all the time.

This time should be more fun since I'll get to do more watching, helping,...drinking laugh .
