When I say vinyl I am talking about the kind of stickers Ryan has on his car. These types of stickers are the most economical but also the hardest to design. You have to keep in mind that these stickers are cut out of existing material. Imagine cutting this sticker out of a piece of paper with a knife, a pain.
Now if you want regular sticker, like the old emission stickers, that's a different story. That kind of sticker is much easier to work with because it is printed so you can add color or have overlapping images, but it costs MONEY!!!. We could come up with something that is not a limiting as vinyl. It printed and then have it reversed glued (glue on its face) so you could stick it to the inside of the window/windshield. The major problem with regular stickers, not just the cost, but we will probably need a minimum order of 150 - 250 so that we will not have to pay a set up charge.
Here's the way I see it PROS & CONS:
VINYL
Pros:
-Very user friendly, will not be permanent and you can use it on glass or paint
-Very cost effective, CHEAP.
-Very minimum quantity needed to produce
Cons:
-Only on color
-Very limited with design, can not be very intricate, basic
-Will need to be somewhat large in order to be cut
STICKER
Pros:
-Can be easily produced, printed
-The design can be a lot more detailed, color, layout, etc.
Cons:
-Will need a minimum quantity in order to produce them.
-Can only be used on glass, window/windshield and somewhat permanent.
-Will cost at least 40-50% more than vinyl.
If we want the stickers we will need at least a couple of weeks to get them made. If we want the vinyl I can probably have them made by the show. What I am thinking is to have some vinyl stickers made, about 25, by the show and then decide at the meet which way we want to pursue. Let me know what you want to do.
