I don't know for sure if this is true or not, but I have read more than one reference to the Mitsubishi Pajero. Appearently, in Argentina, Pajero translates as "masterbator".

The Mitsubishi Jack-off. I wonder if they offer an "Astroglide" transmission?? smile

I didn't say I was bashing the car. We are doing worst name. A thing can be anything. It can be the pop can sitting in front of me, the car in my driveway, the money in my pocket, or the dog poop on the grass outside. They are all things. Only some of them are good. wink

We all know that the Transporter is the coolest VW anyway. wink

I think the worst car names of all are the ones that constitute false adervtising, mainly: Suzuki Swift (uh, it isn't...) and the Chevy Citation (you won't be getting any!).

well the thunderchicken never earned its wings, so it was a poorly chosen name. Yeah, Probe, whaddahell were they thinkin'. Aspire. Stealth (never saw one that didn't have a wing, foglites ang big tires). Anything IROC, esp camaros and dodge daytonas. Protoge'. I esp dislike the Aero, Windstar, and Astro....silly names. Like Lumina.

98 CSVT, basic mod's, my slowest car yet but still faster than the wife's Talon Tsi AWD. Not by much, though. Now if I could get the back wheels to do something....

Staying within some bounds of reason, names really don't mean anything to me. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." It's the car that matters, not the nameplate they tack on.

Calling a car a "Citation" is one fo the stupidest names GM used. Most think of speeding tickets, instead of medals.

Also, Edsel used "Citation", so that should ahve been a warning, too.

I actaully like Falcon or Maverick, if Ford kept the name going, it would have been "Falcon/Comet" instead of Contour/Mystique.
