As good as our group is, it could be so much bigger. Just this weekend, I saw 4 different SVT contours in the area...and countless se's and GLs.

I saw a t-red SVT on 75N Friday afternoon with TX plates

I saw another t-red SVT in Athens on Saturday.

Sunday, I saw a green SVT with a factory wing like Matt's in Athens

Last night on the way home from Athens, I had an *ahem* shall we say "high speed encounter" with a completely blacked out E1 SVT with what appeared to be a female driver.

There's a silver SVT that parks in my parking deck at work.

There are lots of folks out there, I wonder how we can introduce them to the CEG site? Fliers?

As much as I would like to believe the other 'tour zetec'rs love their carr as much as I do, you're probably wasting your time.

SVT and obviously customized 'tours are another story...

I know what you are saying. There is a 98 red SVT in my own neighborhood, but the guy never stops, just waves, even when I am out there washing mine. He lives further back in the subdiv than me, so I don't want to look like a stalker and knock on his door or anything. But the two of us have the same type of car out of just over 10,000 made. That's pretty rare as most cars go.

I guess to some people it is just a nice, sporty car and that's it.

What kills me is A) the type of person who would buy an SVT Contour is likely younger with a descent job and therefore computer literate. If you seach Yahoo for Contour, the CEG pops right up. B) If you go out of your way to buy an SVT product, you must be an enthusiast of some degree, right? So wouldn't you want to search the best information source available, the Internet, to find out how to care for and mod your car?

I don't know, we have the same problem with the SVTOA. We get a list of new SVT owners each month. We call some dude who just plunked down 30 large for a Lightning or Cobra and he says, "Not interested in the club, I just got the car/truck because it looks cool." confused confused confused

Don't despair though. If you see an SVT or modded SE, etc., give 'em a shout out, it couldn't hurt. laugh

I'm trying too. I left a handwritten note about the website on this guy's silver CSVT that parks in the same deck. Maybe he'll check it out.

On the way home after our Sunday meet, I stopped by Best Buy to give Brad a 'Sup, and low and behold an SVT Contour rolls by. I went over to the guy and it was svtrocks. His name is Mike and he said he hadn't been to the site in a while, so I told him to check out the Georgia forum, since the SE one is pretty dead. He said he woulda come up to Flowery Branch if he would have known about it.

Not to dredge up an old post or anything, but... laugh

I was getting gas in Snellville tonight and a guy in a green SVT rolled up. Though it was John for a sec, but it wasn't. It was a young guy and I told him all about the CEG, so maybe he will show up around here.
