UPDATED WITH MORE FEATURES!!
Here's just a reminder and update for the upcomming mod day we are planning here in the Atlanta Area. We are planning on meeting together at 9 AM on Saturday in front of the Macy's department store at the Gwinnett Place Mall off of Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth. I will post directions on how to get there from Downtown ATL and from South Carolina. From there we will caravan approimately 30-40 minutes East on 316 to Innovative Performance Technologies, a new Performance Ford oriented shop in Statham Georgia that is sponsoring our event and has offered FREE shop time for us to turn wrenches. The hope is to get a solid group of guys together to turn wrenches, talk to Victor and Shawn of Innovative Performance about mods and products for the SVT and other small displacement fords, and learn something about our cars along the way. Thanks to Shawn Pasley for offering up his shop for us.
Tentatively, here's a list of mods I hope we will be performing on Saturday:
-Spark plug and wire change (tony630) -K&N installation (maybe Matt2KSVT??? not sure) -Polyurethane motor mount inserts (99SVTguy -Diablo chip install on SFG2 equipped CSVT (just got it on 9/18/01!!!)(99SVTguy) -Door Ding strip removal (anyone who wants to participate) -side marker light install (hopefully someone will come through on this one)
If YOU have a mod you've been wanting to do...Bring it out!!
There is also hope to do a before and after dyno run on the diablo chip so we can evaluate the performance gain/no gain of the chip. This is still in the planning stages and will depend on if Shawn can get Tim Matherly from MV Performance (famous mustang tuner) to open his dyno for a few runs that day (for a fee of course, so if you want to inquire about running Saturday, please have some cash handy...hopefully Shawn will be able to let us know about any dyno opportunity later this week).
We are also hoping to have Bill Purdy on hand to discuss his plans for his IP Tech built 3.0L Duratec powered Focus.
Ryan (n2deep) will be on hand to show us his Baer brake conversion, ZEX nitrous, PS2, and that oh so sweet POLISHED UPPER INTAKE.
Jason Burg (BurgmanSVT) has graciously volunteered his G-Tech Pro for those interested in learning how it works and maybe doing some evaluations on their own cars. He (and this is awesome) is also going to be bringing his OBD-II diagnostic software and laptop for those who are interested in looking first hand at readouts of their car's CPU parameters or unresolved error codes. Thanks Jason!!
Hopefully you'll come on out and join us for all the fun...if you have a mod laying around that you want to do...bring it on out with you!(even if its only an oil change)
Here's a tentative list of participants so far...final list may change as folks firm up their weekend plans...99SVTguy, N2Deep, Redhawk, Matt2kSVT, BurgmanSVT, FastSho, Tony630, 98redSVT (hopefully), and anyone else who can make it that I don't know about yet.
If you have a friend that drives a focus or SHO, bring him (or her) along too, as IP Tech can work on their cars too. Should be a fun day. Meet up with us and stay as long as you want. Post here if you are planning to come. Thanks.

Man,
If I didn't have plans I can't back out of I'd be there to install my BAT Big Brake Kit A, and my stainless steel brake lines...

We can have your plugs and wires changed in 30-45 minutes. My hands are small enough to let me get to the inner bank of cylinders without removing the coil pack. I know several guys are looking forward to hearing your sweet bassani and (myself included) checking out your plug wires. We can have you rolling by lunch time if need be. Hopefully you can make it.

If you were referring to the burnout contest on Saturday, the white Toyota Supra won. I'll be there on Saturday.

Awesome Ryan, looking forward to it.....BTW, am I spelling your name right? Figures that the Supra won....it was the only import that could actually do a decent burnout....and it was an import show....american muscle didn't have a chance. The chevelle somked em all in my opinion

All I know is that when I blew my nose Saturday night, I smelled burned rubber! That first pickup and the chevelle put out some serious smoke, but I guess the Supra had the crowd appeal. I may end up just meeting you guys out there at the shop. Hey Anthony, what do those sidemarkers look like? A6? I may be interested.
