my contour is crashed now.

i would rather not tell you all how it happened, but i am sure that my resisitance would be futile.

i loaned my car to a girl....and she rear-ended a minivan.

the damage is minimal....kinda. there is a small section of the hood the is rolled under, the passenger side headlight is smashed, and the center grill was broken (not the parts you can see; just the parts that mount it to the car).

well, anyways....i just thought i would ask you guys if anyone knows where i can get a passenger side headlight for a small price.

also, it would be great if anyone could find a hood for cheap. (it would be a dream-come-true if someone found a hood that matches my paint color) keep dreaming, huh?

while i am scavenging your contacts for auto body parts, i need a passenger side fender too (from previous damage)

Josh, I'm sorry to hear about the wreck, but what he wrote is funny.

I unfortunately don't have any more body parts, but they are probably plentiful in your local salvage yards.

IM50- are you still in tucson? or did you move back east yet? I'm sure if you check with any local junk yard in either location you should be able to find a butt load of parts. Contours were made in abundance. Finding ones in your color is gonna be hard to come back....i mean, come on, CHESTNUT?

Hey! I saw another "chestnut" Contour today - do you want me to go back and strip it for you?

the problem is, the junkyards i have called dont have cars that are this new. i guess maybe it is because i have called these backwoods hillbilly junkyards.
the thing is, i dont know where all the nice, new, crashed cars go in this area.
mine is a 2000, but i know the headlight from a 99 will fit. my Q is, will the 98 fit, or is that the 'old' body style?
so, i really only have two model years to work with here.

98 and on are all the same body style. I believe it should be interchangeable.

Sounds like we should be running all chestnut contours off the road for you (98 and newer, of course).

just a suggestion mabey contact a close by BODY SHOP and see where they get there parts from -- they will have contacts with yes- salvage yards- .....might be worth a try- good luck

Ok, so I have read all the threads in the Utah forum so I have come to bug you guys.

Even though it is in Utah, you could try Interstate Auto Body.

Their `99 catalog shows a rh fender for $45.18, and a hood for 151.45.

Granted these are older prices, but it wouldn't hurt to check. They would be new, so they would only be covered with black primer.

At least someone was driving yours when it was wrecked. Mine was hit by a parked truck today. Both cars were in park, and the truck slid back and hit my Contour. Took out my corner lamp and bent my fender. Not as bad as yours, but it still hurts.
