Okay, here's what I've come across:
1) Car show - There is a car show in Scottsdale that day. Gates open 8am - 5pm.
2) Races - Don't know. Firebird's website has been jacked up for weeks. I can't get to it. If anyone can get a calendar of events from them, please post it for us.
3) Cruise - Well, I tend to pick things that are too far away, but I'm going to throw this out here, anyway. Please keep in mind this is mostly word of mouth info...I have never been to any of these areas...

if you're feeling adventurous and
really wanna cruise, hit Rt. 88 and follow it until we wear out some rubber. This gives us a little city and a lot of twisty...
